Samuel Bakker

Hello! My name is Samuel Bakker. I am a first-year student at UBC Vancouver in the Faculty of Arts pursuing a degree in International Relations with a minor in Economics. This summer, I will be working as an operator for Scholars Edge in South Vancouver. Scholars Edge is a student-run painting company that enables university students to have a real-world entrepreneurial experience by running their own franchise. I have over a decade of experience running a groundskeeping operation in my hometown, and I’m confident this opportunity will allow me to further refine my business skills.

In high school, I also worked various part-time jobs, was a Vice President on my school’s Student Council, and graduated as Valedictorian, owing to my time-management skills and deep dedication to my work. This summer, Scholars Edge will be my first and only priority, ensuring that all my projects are completed to a high standard and are finished in a timely manner. I’m greatly looking forward to meeting the South Vancouver community and working for you!
