Owen Statham

Hi! My name is Owen Statham, and I am a first-year student at the University of Calgary. I am pursuing a business degree in International Business Strategies. My entrepreneurial spirit surfaced from a young age when I opened a landscaping company when I was ten years old! Close to a decade later, I have harnessed my passion for business with the opportunities presented through Scholar’s Edge. The criteria to represent Scholar’s Edge demands hard work, integrity, and a recognized work ethic. In addition to being an honour student, I am a recognized athlete. I was the recipient of the 2023 Defensive MVP award for my high school football team. Not only did this award recognize athleticism, it recognized my leadership ability and responsibilities to a large high school team.

The lessons learned through football transfers to leading a team through Scholar’s Edge. I find success in leaving a job done to the highest possible standard and am no stranger to challenging work. I will be leading several teams in Okotoks, High River, and surrounding areas over the coming summer months and look forward to working with you!
