Oliver Magnus

Hello, I’m Oliver Magnus. Raised in Edmonton, and currently attending the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. I will be managing a painting business with Scholars Edge this summer. I started taking business programs earlier than many because my highschool offered them to me. I took accounting courses as well as competed on the business team, even taking first place with my team in Saskatchewan. This early exposure helped me realize how much I enjoy the business and entrepreneurship world. It also helped me to quickly learn how to work efficiently as a team and proper conflict resolution skills.

In my free time I enjoy reading science fiction, going to the gym, watching sit-coms, spending time with my family, and playing pickle-ball. I have always believed that good listening skills are crucial to proper business management and I’ve committed to making sure that my employees are heard and their experiences and opinions are respected. This will ensure that they are satisfied with their job atmosphere keeping morale high and the quality and efficiency of their work for you at optimal levels. Scholars Edge is providing me with this opportunity to acquire some great experience running a business and I hope that I have the pleasure of working with you!
