Hello there! My name is Michael van Heerden and I am a first year student at the University of Alberta School of Business. I plan on majoring in accounting later in my degree. This summer, I am running a small painting business with the help of Scholars Edge. I am working out of Abbotsford and look forward to all the opportunities that our city has to offer. Scholars Edge is a student-run painting business that strives to give students the practical experience that comes with running your own business. I was born and raised in South Africa until I was 17 years old at which point I moved to Canada (Abbotsford, BC) where I graduated high school with honours. I played rugby for my entire life. This taught me to develop a healthy competitive nature which translates into most of the things that I do. Scholars Edge allows me to become knowledgeable and learn the necessary skills that I will need one day after university. I wish to serve you well and leave you more than satisfied.
