Hello, my name is Joe Nakabayashi and I am a first-year student at the University of Victoria studying Business. My whole life I’ve dreamt of having the opportunity to run my own business and positively impact my society. This summer, I will be running a local Scholar Edge Painting Business. We are a student-run painting business providing exceptional painting and customer service while assisting university students like myself in gaining the business experience I need for the future. I am a first-generation immigrant from Japan and I've always worked extremely hard while developing a mindset of wanting to help others around me. Scholars Edge has given me an opportunity to progress in my career while being able to provide affordable services to my community. With Scholar’s Edge, I can get a head start on my academic objectives while learning all the fundamental skills needed to run a successful business. I will eventually apply all the skills learnt to my personal career as an entrepreneur.
