Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my business. I am currently a student at UBC Okanagan’s School of Business, with plans to start my own business in the future. I’m originally from Lorette, Manitoba, I’ve lived there until beginning my university journey. I have grown up with aspiration to start my owning my own business with an entrepreneurial spirit that stems from my dad and grandparents. This summer marks my third year in the painting industry and my second year running a painting franchise for Scholars Edge Painting. Last year I was operating in Vernon, BC, where I’ve built a strong reputation for my transparent communication and my attention to detail. At Scholars Edge, we place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality, which are the cornerstones of our work. Operating under Scholars Edge has allowed me to turn my dream into a reality, giving me hands-on experience in understanding what it takes to run a successful business. In my view, the most important elements of running any business are customer satisfaction and transparency. A happy client is the foundation of a strong reputation, built through trust and exceptional results. To ensure this, I provide regular updates to my clients throughout the project, letting you know what has been accomplished each day and what to expect the next. I’m also readily available via phone or chat to address any questions or concerns you may have—anytime.
Before university, I competed at a high level in sports like soccer, at a national level. Which instilled in me the importance of effort, discipline, and maintaining high standards. So, I will not be taking this opportunity lightly. I will be pouring the values I’ve inherited from competing in sports at a high level into my work to ensure you are more than satisfied with the job. The extra mile is often the hardest, but it’s what sets us apart. The experience I gained from running a business alongside my studies puts me ahead in terms of knowledge and character. Not only that, it will also help me pay my tuition so that I can continue the pursuit of my future goals.
